Less is More

It feels like I spent most of the week on catch up. Catching up from the past few weeks of lessons that were postponed due to various reasons. I’ve seen a few new clients this week. Despite doing this job for 12 years, I still get a little buzz of uncertainty before I teach someone new because you never know if they are going to like what they hear.

As I’ve become more sure about what I do and don’t want to teach, my message has changed over the years. There will always be a place for technique and process but I am allowing intuition and feel to guide me more. I wasn’t sure if this was something I would be able to embrace without people expecting more from their sessions but I really shouldn’t have worried. The old adage ‘Less is More’ is certainly true and we are getting better results, calmer horses and owners who are really starting to read their horses, rather than just give them a label.

I will soon be setting out the new developments I am planning this year, but that will have to wait for another day!
